About Me

Welcome to my photography portfolio. This website is to display my range of work, from surf photography to Landscapes, and everything else in-between that I am lucky enough to capture, I'm passionate about capturing unique moments in a creative and captivating way. Whether it's the powerful energy of the ocean or the serene beauty of a landscape, my goal is to evoke emotions and tell stories through my photography. I strive to create visually stunning images that leave a lasting impression.

My journey as a photographer started on the south coast of Devon. Every summer my family would visit a small seaside town and equipped with my trusty Gopro Hero I would venture out at sunrise and take our small row boat to take photos of the surrounding area.

The action camera I was using had no view finder and no back screen to have any hint at what the photo may look like. It was a challenge to compose scenes and stage photos. However it added to the excitement of getting back home to upload the photos onto the computer to see what the photos looked like.

My first DSLR was the Nikon D5600. A trusty piece of kit that taught me the basics. Being self taught comes with its own challenges. The lack of guidance and self motivation needed is tough, countless hours on YouTube and forums teaching lighting and techniques were immensely beneficial. But nothing compares to actually going out and shooting and getting it wrong and trying over and over again.

I have been in the Superyachting industry since early 2019. I was hired onboard MY Siren as a photographer and videographer back in 2022. My role pushed me out of my comfort zone completely. From running around with a dslr for a bit of fun and for my own satisfaction, quickly turned into having to stage photos and create holiday recap videos for the guests that came on board. These guests that arrive are also paying upwards of half a million euros for a week long vacation, meaning the standard of work they are expecting is nothing short of professional. Without this push however, I would never have been able to build my portfolio. Throwing myself in at the deep end (quite literally)

The intense working environment of Superyachts could have been the death of my passion for photography. but it had quite the opposite effect. I fell in love with the ocean and being behind the lens. Being able to combine the two not only creates amazing photos but drives me to impose everyday.
